Global Cereal Production is Downgraded, but Up in 2013

United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization predicts global cereal production expected to rise in 2013

The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization recently downgraded their prediction for this year's global cereal production due to problems with the wheat crop in South America, but overall the world cereal harvest is expected to reach nearly 2,500 million tons in 2013, an increase of 8 percent over the 2012 levels.

The UNFAO also predicts that the U.S. corn harvest for 2013 is expected to rise 27 percent over last year's drought-plagued crop. To read more, click HERE.
