Antibiotics use in Beef, Poultry a main cause in the spread of antibiotic-resistant infections

The CDC has come out against antibiotic use in livestock as a growth promoter, claiming that if the food industry could reduce it's use to only situations where vets are treating food-producing animals for infectious diseases it could help to reduce the spread of antibiotic-resistant infections in humans.
