The Ingersoll-Rand Plc refrigerated food trucks have helped reduce food spoilage, which used to begin to rot before it even reached 300 miles away. Perishables that had trouble traveling due to road conditions and heat in India, are now being enjoyed in the Middle East. “Ingersoll, United Technologies Corp. (UTX)’s Carrier and shipping line AP Moeller-Maersk A/S are among companies promoting cold- chain technologies in India, where about 300 billion rupees ($6.6 billion) of food is lost each year because of a lack of chillers and poor infrastructure," according to Bloomberg.
