Drought Causes Difficulties In Some Countries

According to a report, in the US more the corn crop is now considered in “poor” condition.

The recent drought in the mid-west, which withered corn and soybean crops, has put the food supply chain of import-reliant nations in jeopardy.

“The poor in the world are going to see tremendous pressure on their budgetary expenditure for calories. This has become a very scary situation, particularly for those in the world who are impoverished,” says Dan Basse, the president of Ag Resources, as quoted in the Christian Science Monitor.
