According to JOC, the South Carolina State Ports Authority (SCPA) has plans to build an inland port and rail terminal in Greer, SC. The facility and rail terminal will be built on a 100-acre site in Greer, acquired by the SCSPA in 1982, and was to be built into an inland port. The inland facility will be operated by SCPA and will offer a place for transporting containers among trains and trucks for shipment to/from the coast.
