The new Volvo VN was developed in conjunction with EPA ’02 engine regulations to offset the fuel economy penalty of the new regulations, while maximizing performance and productivity. The new Volvo VN is lighter and more aerodynamic than the previous generation, with an improved driver environment. The Volvo VN features a standard driver’s airbag and high-strength steel cab. The Volvo VT series was added in 2005 to provide a high-horsepower, high-image flagship for long-haul sleepers and daycabs.
