The logistics space is set to experience steady movement for the second half of the year, according to the Q3 BlueGrace Logistics Confidence Index.

This index measures the expected expansion or contraction within the logistics industry by analyzing revenue forecasts, inventory levels and order volumes.

From BlueGrace Logistics:

  • Anticipated revenue maintained a positive trend, only decreasing by 4% across all shippers surveyed.
  • Inventory levels measured highest at neutral and therefore are not expected to expand or contract for Q3.
  • Order volume (sentiment) increased by 5% and that suggests order volumes must be increased to maintain the same levels of projected revenue.
  • Consensus data underscores the shift from modest growth observed in the previous quarter to a relatively stagnant or neutral growth in the current quarter.
