Kellogg Executive Discusses “Unsaleables”

“Unsaleable” packages, which are shipped to retailers but then can’t be sold, must be taken into account as part of waste reduction and sustainability, said Gary Piwko, Kellogg’s director of remarketing and returns management.

Kellogg’s Piwko said the company conducts week-long audits, which “provide data and measure performance relating to unsaleables, which gives us direction on where improvements are needed across Kellogg and our retail customer supply chains.”
