According to Markets Inside, Domino’s Pizza is looking to use self-driving delivery robots to reduce costs associated with delivery drivers.

Rising minimum wages, record-low unemployment and competition for drivers are all factors that have reportedly driven up Domino’s labor costs, and the company recently partnered with Nuro to deliver pizza with the start-up’s unmanned vehicles.

A trial for the process is scheduled to start in Houston this fall. According to the report, Domino’s is hoping to use the unmanned delivery to reduce its dependency on the labor market.
