Russian Government Causing Big Problems

The Russians are having problems with Polish meat, Ukraine trade relations its refusal to accept TIR scheme

The Russian government was in the headlines just about everyday last week, but it's not the kind of headlines the Russians would like to attract. 

On Tuesday the Kremlin warned the Ukraine that if the country goes ahead with a planned agreement on free trade with the EU, it faces inevitable financial catastrophe and possibly the collapse of the state. Then Russia hinted Wednesday it may ban the import of Dutch tulips and dairy products in an escalating row between the nations sparked by the arrests of Greenpeace activists protesting Arctic oil drilling.

Now comes word that Russian authorities are starting to threaten Poland with a ban of poultry and pork products after bacteria was found  by meat inspectors. 

And the final straw late in the week came from the International Road Transport Union (IRU), which has reiterated its call for the Russian government to rethink its recent refusal to accept TIR guarantees. To read more, click HERE.
