Los Angeles, CA: Rehrig Pacific Company was honored with PepsiCo's 2012 Supplier of the Year award on March 20 during the company's annual supplier conference in San Antonio, Texas.
PepsiCo awarded Rehrig with this prestigious award during the general assembly meeting at their annual supply conference. Nominated by several stakeholders within the Pepsi Bottling Company, Rehrig was credited as a "strategic partner" for PepsiCo. The presenters cited Rehrig's implementation of the Geo Box Delivery System as a key to their operational success in the past year.
The innovative delivery system significantly reduced fleet costs by improving loading and delivery times and moved product picking to production facilities and distribution centers rather than at retail locations. The combination of using Rehrig's EZ Pallet and EZ Lift reduced the number of movements for each store, delivery times, and injuries for route delivery sales, while increasing the number of stops per day.
