WERC Introduces New Seminar


Oak Brook, IL: The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), a professional association focused exclusively on warehouse and distribution management and its role in the supply chain, has added a seminar to its 2007 schedule. Optimizing Your Technology Investment: Supply Chain Execution Systems and Automation will be held November 1-2, 2007 in Austin, TX.

The seminar will be a comprehensive overview of supply chain information systems, including how to evaluate and select the right system based on functional requirements.

Systems such as WMS, TMS, LMS and YMS are integral to successful logistics, distribution and transportation operations. Attendees will learn about the role of these systems in distribution and transportation operations; key characteristics of current systems; the functionality, application and relative strengths and weaknesses of various systems; and how to choose a system for a distribution or transportation operation. The seminar is designed for anyone involved in the selection and implementation of supply chain information and distribution control systems.
