Jacksonville, FL: Ceva Logistics, a provider of supply chain logistics services, has announced the appointment of Jerry Riordan as managing director, Ceva Logistics North America. In this role, he assumes full P&L responsibility for Ceva’s logistics business in the United States, Canada and Mexico, succeeding Jeff Hurley who has taken on new responsibilities at the worldwide level as senior vice president of the Global Automotive sector.
In his career, Riordan has held senior leadership positions at a number of large companies related to the logistics industry. He spent the first 25 years of his career working for Miami-based Ryder, ultimately becoming president and COO of Ryder TRS. Riordan then became CEO of United Road Services and, for the last five years, has been president of Budget Truck Rentals, based in Denver, where he led the turnaround of a significant business.
Riordan graduated from Niagara University with a degree in Commerce in 1971. Two years later, he received his MBA in Management and Economics from the University of Miami.
“Jerry is a senior level executive with a strong track record of profitably growing complex, national service businesses,” notes Dave Kulik, CEO, Ceva Logistics. “We believe that Jerry is uniquely qualified to lead the organization in further developing its logistics franchise in North America, one that already has a strong book of business and a track record for delivering value to its customers.”
