Print ArticleSyracuse, NY: Penn Traffic Co. has announced that it has reached an agreement with Keene, NH-based C&S Wholesale Grocers that will allow C&S to procure produce and deliver it to Penn Traffic’s warehouses.
According to Penn Traffic, the agreement, which is effective March first, will allow it to “benefit from cost efficiencies while expanding access to new and alternative products.” In addition, the company says it will continue to operate all of its existing warehouse and transportation functions, including the internal management of out-bound product delivery to its retail stores and wholesale customers.
Penn Traffic operates 98 supermarkets and supplies another 121 stores as a wholesaler itself.
