Ozburn-Hessey Logistics Adds Facility in Canada

Brentwood, TN: Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, the Brentwood, TN-based third-party logistics provider, announced the expansion of its network with the recent lease of a facility in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, in the Heartland Industrial Park, located approximately 15 minutes from the Toronto International Airport. Mississauga is Canada's sixth largest city.

"Because all of our growth is client-directed we are able—in a very tangible way—to grow with and be flexible for our clients by opening facilities in new markets to support their expansion strategies," says Scott McWilliams, CEO. "We look forward to operating in this new facility with our client."

"We are delighted to open this operation in the Toronto area," notes Bob Spieth, president of Contract Logistics for the company. "We were able to leverage our resources to meet our clients' changing needs and to expand our network into this marketplace. The ProVenture team was tremendously helpful throughout the process of identifying and leasing this great facility."

Jeb Atkinson, vice president at ProVenture, advised Ozburn-Hessey Logistics in the transaction in conjunction with Rob Renaud, vice president and Sam Meer, vice president, both of GVA Devencore.

The facility was leased primarily for one of the 3PL's clients and the company intends to lease additional space as needed in Canada. Plans are to begin shipping from the facility on November 1, 2007.
