Container shipping lines are raising rates on the Asia-U.S. trade lane by $300 per 40-foot container to West Coast ports, and by $400 to all other U.S. ports, starting May 15. This comes on top of the $400 per 40-foot container peak season surcharge that goes into effect on June 15.
