Consumer Trust in Food Industry Down in EU

According to the results of the European Union's public opinion surveys, known as the Eurobarometer, the food and beverage industry needs to engage in some serious public relations with the public across the EU, since only 35 percent of the EU citizens "trust" supermarkets and 38 percent trust food manufacturers when it comes to giving out information on food risks.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and UK's Food Standards Agency (FSA) both scored really high marks in the survey, at 73 percent, which means the food and beverage industry has some catching up to do. To read more, click HERE.
