DOT Announces $474 Million in TIGER Grants

Funds go towards 52 transportation projects in 37 states

The DOT's Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery discretionary grant program, otherwise known as TIGER, announced they will be funding up to $474 million in transportation projects including up to $123.4 million designated for projects in rural areas of the country.

The Port of Baltimore was one of the projects the DOT selected, which will pump $10 million into the expansion of the terminal and the deepening of the navigational channel to handle the expected rise in large cargo ships coming from the expanded Panama Canal. To read more, click HERE
