Fonterra Gets Some Good News

Botulism scare in whey products was a false alarm


New Zealand's ministry for primary industries announced this week that additional tests done in New Zealand and the U.S. on recalled Fonterra products found no presence of Clostridium botulinum, the dangerous strain that causes botulism.

Fonterra, who controls 90 percent of New Zealand's milk production, has taken a lot of heat lately, but industry insiders are praising them for the way they handled this scare by putting safety first. To read more, click HERE.
