USDA Gives Food Safety Advice Ahead Of Impending Storms

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has begun giving advice on how to best reduce the risk for contracting and spreading foodborne illness during severe weather such as storms and tornadoes. According to the USDA’s website, “Destruction and power outages caused by severe weather can compromise food storage, especially for frozen and refrigerated foods, and FSIS want’s those affected to be aware of resources and measures that can keep food safe to eat longer.” To read more, click HERE.
