DHL Exel Supply Chain is building a 345,620-square-foot "mega food center" in Willebroek, Belgium, to consolidate some food distribution in Europe. DHL will occupy the initial 172,000-square-foot warehouse by July and a second unit by October. Another phase of the project calls for an expansion of 431,600 square feet by 2009...McLane Co., Temple, TX, is opening a 235,000-square-foot warehouse in Manassas, VA, to serve foodservice customers in Virginia, Washington, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. It will move leased operations at an existing 100,000-square-foot facility in Manassas into the new facility when it opens in 2007…Coca-Cola Enterprises, Atlanta, will open a 100,000-square-foot warehouse in Lakeland, FL, later this year to support bottling operations in Tampa, FL, and Orlando, FL.
