Naturally Iowa Inc., an organic dairy processor in Clarinda, IA, has signed a distribution agreement with Organic Logistics LLC, La Farge, WI, to coordinate logistics for its organic and all natural ice cream and drinkable yogurt products. Dole Fresh Vegetables, Monterrey, CA, has recalled all of its packaged salad products that bear the label “Dole Hearts Delight” sold in the U.S. and Canada, after one randomly-screened sample in a Canadian grocery store contained E. coli. Its parent company, Dole Food Co., recently stepped up testing and tracking of product to prevent outbreaks of E. coli. Dole is testing samples from every acre of spinach and other vegetables that are marketed under the Dole label. It is also putting in place a new electronic system it hopes will speed up the ability to trace problems as they occur.
Glidewell Distributing Co. has dramatically improved order accuracy, increased worker speed and reduced training since it implemented VoiceLink 3.0-a new voice product from Pittsburgh-based Vocollect Inc.-at its distribution center in Fort Smith, AR, last March. The company expects to save some $275,000 annually using the solution.
Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. has launched Coca-Cola Recycling LLC, which will concentrate on the recycling of beverage bottles in North America. The division will focus on recovering and recycling such packaging material as PET plastic, plastic film, aluminum and cardboard. Coke's goal is to recycle 100 percent of the packaging materials it generates.

The 6,300-unit order helped the group achieve record-setting, first-half unit sales.
